Je suis le voyageur

and i ride and i ride

(PARENTHESES: i think it'd be awesome if iggy pop sang in french END PARENTHESES)

so uh, unless someone well you know, super awesome who can write as super awesome as me has en fait assumed my identity, i made it home. and justifiably, i and the rest of le monde can call myself, how you say?, comment dit- on? a pussy for being worried about bein' lost in europe cos i'se all alone.

so i made it home and i'll give the trip points for the alps being so beautiful, minus points for belgium providing no entertainment short of the collective effort of the country to hit on me by complimenting my accent, points for having sampled beers in all locales save for strasbourg, as fuck it, i drink kronenburg alls the time, minus points for having set up so many train connections and. uh. add it all up? i'd say overall, points for having done did it, but i do appreciate not having to make myself laugh/ vaguely, VAGUELY murmuring to myself for lack of company dans les rues and strasses of the belgish and the switzish alike.

and strasbourg felt like a christmas tree.

i was incredibly happy to chance upon an opening in the woods in interlaken, and aside from the fact that the alps were huge and beautiful everywhere you turned there, i did a nice bit of hiking by myself with my giant backpack, and got a fantastic view of the lake to the east and surrounding beautiful alpine and bretzel (i spell not wrong) oriented things.

and rolling home being happy that i could speak french again, that i'd see my friends in montpellier again soon, but even better that i'd see my friends at home home not so much longer after that, while swiss valleys rolled and stayed coated in snow until the landscape completely changed and i saw the biggest lake i've ever seen coming into geneva, ah while listening to the last track on the shins oh inverted world, which i love but whose name i never bothered to look up, yeah.

life's a peach, ain't it?
