Organiser? MAIS NON
well i've been going to classes, in a sense, for the past week and a half. i say in a sense, because at my esteemed Universite Paul Valery, they give about the entire school, faculty, students, admin, about a two week period to collectively get its shit together. what we, the american students have experienced is not only "hey! definitely dropping this class cos i can't understand a FUCKING WORD" but the fact that for one who does not know that cancelled classes out of the blue, room changes and time switches, and say a general atmosphere of NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON is relatively par for the course, kids get stressed out.
i however, am taking my upper road as i might usually do. i just learned to not give a shit. and i'd say that in terms of school, that's a pretty impressive feat. if only this kid smoked cigarettes, i say every so often, i'd be cool as shit and disdainful as hell in an oh so reelaxed way.
so speaking of relaxed, how good an idea was it to take up some three day weekends in this piece. this weekend i've vaguely planned for nice and monaco. next weekend, scaling mont ventoux in provence. oct 28 is the franz show in paris, so i'm trying to work out that plus some quality time with my cousin jodie, who's running away from the border police/the shitty food in england. or something like that. et le futur? vague plans of David Niven like adventures and skiiing in the Swiss Alps.
other than that, my life of baguettes and cheese remains fantastic, i'm keeping in nice regular two time a week contact with greg, who remains an incredible font of happiness, good conversation, and gawddamnit, inspiration in my life, and my francais is struggling, but hopefully is steadily improving.
P.S. i'm taking brazilian portuguese right now, and might also plan to take up capoeria, a brazilian sort of martial art. do we plan to conquer south america next? only time will tell.
